I love being a programmer. Coding is not only my job, but it's also my hobby. I've always been grateful for this unique feature of our profession. I don't expect many accountants to write Excel macros as a weekend project.
But the act of coding is changing. It's becoming more about telling an LLM what to build and less about making something yourself. LLMs let me ship more, but I don't get the same gratification from using them.
This site is where I create things "by hand" again, just for fun.
